Preschool Curriculum
Our preschool program offers a unique Christian experience for children ages 3-5 years. While focusing on the cognitive, emotional, spiritual and physical development, your child will grow and learn through age-appropriate activities and a “theme-based” curriculum.
Circle Time:
Morning circle time includes group activity, such as letter and number introduction, worship songs and prayer, story time, and sharing time.
Free Choice and Center Activities:
Whole language is combined with phonics to introduce letters and pre-reading skills. The children will dictate into their journals and use inventive spelling.
Math and Science:
The children learn numeral recognition, problem solving, environmental awareness, creation, and spatial awareness.
Physical and Gross Motor:
Music and movement, outdoor play, bikes, tricycles and water play are all forms of exercise.
Art:
Their art projects focus on the theme and often are open-ended for the child’s expression.
Other Areas of Interest in the Classroom:
Others areas of interest for the children are: sand table, tactile table, play dough, shaving cream, easel painting, chalk drawings, reading corner, manipulatives, dramatic play, blocks, and cars.
