Infant Curriculum

The Infant Room does not have a set schedule for each day because every child will determine his or her pattern for eating, sleeping, playing, and awake time. The daily schedule will depend upon the number and age of the children in the room. As each infant develops and grows, the schedule will adjust to the children in the room.

The three babies in the room have the undivided attention of the baby care giver. She is constantly holding, rocking, walking them in the stroller, singing, reading, or sitting on the floor playing with them.

Infants learn initially through their senses. So the baby care giver talks quietly to them as she read stories. Soft music is played while they go to sleep. They are held when given their bottles and cuddled and rocked often.
